List of proposed works for shutdowns 2020 and later
installation of new beam dump line (2020-2022) (more info)
- upgrade of the vacuum control system to FAIR standards (2023?)
- upgrade of all screens to CUPID
- connection of BPM readout electronics
- exchange of GTE2DK4 diagnostic box which includes a special, beakable SEM grid for beam size measurement. Install new, FAIR-type diagnose kammer and new grid developed for FAIR
- installation of additional BLMs; proposed locations: HHD, TH4 (especially TH4!)
- installation of Cryogenic Current Comparator (CCC) - device to measure low beam currents in DC mode
- prepare demagnetization cycle to have HEST optics independent on spill sequence
- change polarity of GTE5QD21 (y-foc), GTE5QD22 (x-foc) in the LSA (they are wrong since 1998)
- exchange of power converter of GHADQT53 (it is a very old type, with resistive feedback, prone to temperature drifts)
- camera GTH4DF8 is of a very bad quality - exchange
- grid GHADDG1G seem to have much lower sensitivity then other gas-filled grids. It is absolutely critical for protons in HADES
- it would be good to add another gas-filled grid eg. in TH2 (downstream)

- installation of 2 new secondary emission foils in HADES beam line
- installation of star-shaped vacuum chamber in manets GHADQD11 and GHADQD12 for aperture optimization
