SIS18_TS_HTC_STANDARD optic
Optics for beam path via Fragment Separator (starting at TA2 target) is responsability of FRS experts. FRS requires special care when calculating the optics because of high precision required in description of magnet fields and presence of large amount of matter along the beam path (targets and degraders). The programs used by the experts are called MOCADI and GICOSY. Here is a link to currently used optics (courtesy H.Weick).
The optics files below has been used during Dry Run 3 (December8-12, 2017). It is obtained from MIRKO mix file send by John Winfield.
- MIRKO mix file (from John, obtained through MIRKO export from GICOSY)
- MADX - sequence - based on MIRKO sequence with manual corrections
- MADX twiss - executing MADX sequence
- LSA files - the best knowledge (from MIRKO twiss)
This optics has been used for tests during dry run 3 (December 8-12, 2017).

In February 2020 the beamline was used for experiment. The STANDARD optics was found to be wrong. The beamline was tuned by the operators:
and at the same time the strength file in LSA was updated accordint to Mirko files received from FRS group:
