Proton beam from methane, difficult setup in Unilac. Setting up TH_HTC, HADES and HADES-PION. Night shift.
- Cave C intensity limit due to spectroscopic silicon detector: 1e7/spill.
- required energy 400 MeV (soft!)
- Now we have 1e10 in SIS
- spill length: 4s for power converter measurements.
- final target: GHTCDF3V, should be sensitive enough
- long optimization of slow extraction... no ways to measure efficiency
- because of PDC - calibration problem for protons (no overlap scintillator-IC)
- beam lost around GTH3MU1,
Starting up HADES standard (ENGRUN2018)->BEAMTIME2019 (there is more instrumentation of this line, can help to debug HTC)
- observation BEAMTIME19 optics: GTE1QD12 has very small value in this optics... hm... weak steering at high rigidity!
- pion target was partly IN
- back to Cave C
- lot of difficulties to see eprotons
- finally at 5:45, beam at the last screen (GHTCDF3V)
- paramodi save: 2020-05-30_05-51-02_SIS18_SLOW_HTC_20200529_194450.C1.txt
- 1480 - Andrzej phone (EPC)
